Softball is considered to be a team sport which is quite common and played in the Unites States. It has a direct relation with that of baseball and the rules of both the sports namely; baseball and softball are almost the same. For appropriate and definitive differentiation, baseball is also referred to as hardball. The invention of softball was done by George Hancock and the first ever game of softball was played with the help of a boxing glove which was rolled up to form a ball and the bat used was a broken broom stick. The first game which was played was in the year 1887.
