The term rain is defined to be the kind of precipitation which is known to be the final result of condensation of the water vapor from the atmosphere which gets deposited onto the surface of the earth. The drops of water reach the ground from the clouds where the condensed particles were deposited. While falling across the dry air, most of the rain droplets evaporate into the atmosphere and so it has been proved that not all the rain drops reach the earth surface. The phenomenon of rain speaks about the hydrologic or the water cycle through which the entire process depends upon.
