Hippie is defined as the subculture which started off in the United States among the youngsters. It was originated during the 1960s and soon spread to other parts of the world. The word hippie evolved from the word hipster and it corresponded to beatniks who shifted to Haight-Ashbury district of San Francisco.
The people who were involved in this culture were highly provoked by the new sexual revolution, depended on dyed and peculiar type of clothes, heard psychedelic rock and also depended on drugs including LSD and cannabis. Through this technique, they wanted to understand and get into the different states of unconsciousness, thrill and enjoyment.
