The term Goth refers to the tribal people who were mainly from the East German and they hassled the Roman Empire during the 3rd and 4th centuries and then joined Arianism which is something similar to Christianity. They were later classified or divided into Visigoths and the Ostrogoths during the 5th and 6th centuries.
There are many archeological evidences available telling about the history and existence of the Goth culture and the history. The only remaining important remnant of the Gothic culture and the architecture is at Ravenna known as the Mausoleum of Rheodoric. Such artifacts talks about the existence and significance of the existed culture and construction.
