I love the layout! I have my own APBT rescue group and currently have 12 and all get along with each other and people of all kinds!

Actually, Fatman, the American Pit Bull Terrier wasn't bred for guarding OR hunting. They were bred for dog fighting, do your research and you'll find that. Yes, they can be used for hunting, but they were never bred to KILL any type of prey. When used in hog hunting they're used to HOLD the hog until the handler gets there to shoot the animal. They were never bred to KILL anything, even in terms of dog fighting. The original dog men of yesterday would have stopped a fight LONG before it got to that point, regardless of the money they had on the line. A little research goes a long way, my friend. I do love this lay out though!

i've bn raised around pits & i have never bn attacked or bitten..ppl need 2 realize that its all the owner;s fault 4 the pit bein the way it is.. it cant juss decide wuts right from wrong.. it has 2 b taught juss like humans!!

this is response to christy,,would you rather have your pitt be a guard dog or the hunting machine he was bread to be,,they were bread to hunt,,and KILL the pray as an alternative to shooting prey. And my two are wonderful loving guard dogs for when im not a home for my wife. Thats exactlly what i want them to be.

This is an awesome layout. I have a pitbull/boxer mix that I rescued from the county shelter. I've had a rednose pit before too, but the people we gave her to ended up letting her run the streets and we never found her =[[ But I absolutely LOVE this breed. They are far from being "genetic killing machines". It's the owners that make them the way they are. If people only knew... It's so sad. I pray and hope that this breed does not become banned in my area. They are the best dogs, and I don't think I'll ever go without having a pittie.

ya kno dogs srent the only thing that kill people, so why doesnt everything else get banned?

i love pits. i have 2. one is a bully ( 6months) and one is a colby red nose mix (10 months) they are the best dogs in the world. pertective when they need to be and babies all the time.

Okay - first off, I LOVE pittys, my all time favorite dogs. i have two. BUT - the only problem I have with this layout and the prayer is that Pitbulls were not bred for PROTECTION..THEY ARE NOT GUARD DOGS!! any reponsible pitbull owner KNOWS this.

If you want a guard dog you need a rottie or dobe. Pitbulls are great loyal family pets. They were bred and built centuries ago to be loyal to their humans and be a great hunting asset, hence the power behing the dogs.

i had 2 pits and loved them.my sons babys mom leslie did not want the baby around them case its in there blood to kill is what they was saying they dont know pits at all. my 2 was my babys they loved anyone that came in he door.its realy sad that people want to do this to them..maybe they should get one and realy see how they are.there not killers they"r lovers all the way.........
